Barbara
is the Founder of the Art of Recovery Expo
and publisher of Together AZ Newspaper. She has
been clean and sober for over 21 years and owes
her life to recovery. The 2011 Art of Recovery
Expo is in honor and in memory of Bill Brown.
Bringing the message of Recovery to Arizona By
Barbara Nicholson-Brown back in late 2004, my
husband and I had the idea to create an event
that would bring the public an opportunity to
meet the leading providers of treatment services
to our community. |
We have always believed that recovery from addiction
is a treatable disease, yet finding the right place
to go for help can be a daunting task. The Expo offers
attendees the opportunity to learn about the services
available to them in a positive atmosphere, without
pressure or judgment.
Workshops are held throughout
the day at no cost and we are honored to bring
celebrated author, John Bradshaw, as our Keynote Speaker.
